Now it's between Loyola-Chicago and Tulane. Yaay. What do I do?! I am still on the wait list of 2 very fine Midwest powerhouses. I hope everyone else's cycle is going well.
LOL that is HORRIBLE advice! only 30% of tulane graduates stay in louisiana!!

Waiting for 3 here. Would definitely go to 1 if I got, would most likely go to one of the others...crapshoot on the third.

Re: OFFICIAL 'IN OFF THE WAITLIST' THREAD
Waitlisted at both of my top choices; UCLA & USC!
3.3 undergrad GPA is surely what's giving them pause, as I never intended to go to graduate school until the day before I signed up for the LSAT... But I've been pretty aggressive about the USC app since learning on 4/1. Just found out about UCLA last night, however.
I'm an actor & writer, and USC is simply the best place for me to study entertainment law. I called in 3 more letters of rec, 2 from USC law grads who both stated that I would excel at USC Law; and wrote a LOCI detailing why USC & I are are match made on JDate.
Big ups to those of you getting in off the WL

Me too. WL for 3. I would def go to 1 of my WL and more than likely for another WL. The third def depends on the $$$. I am still waiting to hear from 2 schools.LS-boundNYC wrote:Waiting for 3 here. Re: OFFICIAL 'IN OFF THE WAITLIST' THREAD
Indeed, the vast majority of Tulane Law graduates matriculate to other states and do not stay in Louisiana. Of course, the major theme is the South nonetheless, though with a solid percentage heading to New York and some to California. Midwest and of course Chicago have a very low percentage. I indeed like Chicago and feel comfortable there, and I've been around there most of my life. Though, Tulane is a wonderful, wonderful opportunity, and so far, it's Loyola-Chicago (12k yr) versus Tulane .. I might just take that opportunity and spread my wings. Plus, and this could be bad thinking, who is to tell me I can't keep my connections going in Chicago, attend Tulane and do well and get a whole different experience, and come back to Illinois and get hired? I'd look unique, etc. It's not like I left the town to attend a bad school. It's a wonderful, historic school, right?? After a visit to Tulane, I'll have a better idea of whether I'd like to attend. It's ok that a poster gave his or her advice and went "off topic" .. this forum is about giving opinions. I'll listen to more.prea5356 wrote:cucullu wrote:Not wishing to start an off-topic theme in this thread, so please feel free to PM to follow up, but it seems like you want to be in the Midwest from your other spread of schools. In at Cardozo off the 'Hold' list. They told me it wasn't a waitlist so I'm not sure if it counts... FT with $25K/yr dependent on maintaining >2.95GPA.

Ill use this opportunity to tag this thread.nadopretz wrote:What does it mean to tag a thread?
Tagging is when you write in a thread so that you can find it easily the next time you get online by viewing your own posts rather than having to search for it through the forum search.

Congrats to those getting in! And fyi - you can "subscribe" to a post if you have nothing to say in order to tag. That keeps traffic down on the thread for those of us that rush to see all new posts!

Are you withdrawing from another school? Perhaps another DC school?
