Chicago or Miami?
In terms of lifestyle, the law schools are different animals. Miami is the premiere school of south FL and when the name is mentioned, there is automatic respect. Plus, it's on a wonderful campus with wonderful resources, with wonderful weather. Still, I put it on par with Loyola-Chicago, which is in the amazing city of Chicago, and the building is impressive. The lifestyle would be living life in Chicago itself, obviously. In terms of lifestyle and then opportunity, I wonder where it's the wisest to go ..
It also comes down to, in some probability, picking one city over the other. I like both for different reasons.

This, not because Loyola is good, but because the Chicago market is so much larger. Also, consider retaking the LSAT.gdane wrote:Miami sucks and is not worth full price.

Also, LOL at the premier school of south FL...equivalent of being the premier team of women's hoops.

I know you don't want to use the 12k as a factor, but what are the retention stipulations? What about cost of living situation?

Re: Chicago or Miami?
12k is essentially guaranteed. Cost of living is the same, unless I commute to Loyola from home. Doing that would obviously save humongous $.mpj_3050 wrote:I know you don't want to use the 12k as a factor, but what are the retention stipulations? What about cost of living situation?
It's just interesting to think about living awesomely on my own in Miami .. or the possibility of commuting from home!

I put this in this forum on purpose since it gets so much traffic and people openly talk about these types of topics all the time.FeelTheHeat wrote:

People will make their own success, not the school itself, in general. Though, I'm still thinking about where to choose based on the current choices. !!

If Miami's weather appeals to you, then the answer is obvious.

If you're not of SPANISH decent, don't go to Miami. You'll never make it..

What would you consider to be "decently SPANISH?" You probably meant descent...mez06 wrote:If you're not of SPANISH decent, don't go to Miami. You'll never make it..

Yes that was a spelling mistake. Thanks. But if you are NOT from Florida and haven't lived in SoFla then you obviously would not understand the comment. It's not racists by any means but anyone who has lived there would understand.

I meant nothing racist against hispanics, cubans, mexicans, etc by my post. I just think everyone in Miami (as a rule) sucks as a human being regardless of skin color (everyone is a crispy tan anyway), creed, gender, etc.FeelTheHeat wrote:The ignorance displayed by you idiots above this post is unbelievable.
