Scholarship Negotiation: Attach copy of another offer?
I am about to ask a school for a scholarship where one currently doesn't exist. In my negotiation letter, I am contemplating mentioning the scholarship that a similarly ranked school gave me. What are your thoughts on attaching a scanned copy of that scholarship offer to my negotiation email?

i did that and i think you should too. it's just an easy way to show you're not bluffing and it saves you the trouble of having to slow the process down and send it later when they inevitably ask for it.TJISMYHERO wrote:I am about to ask a school for a scholarship where one currently doesn't exist. I mentioned other peer/higher ranked school scholarships in my negotiation letter - I don't feel its necessary to include the other offer. I think most schools that dont specifically ask for it operate under the assumption 99.5% of people wouldn't be dumb enough to lie about their other offers (witness the one guy from UM who got caught and destroyed)
