For October Applicants Who Are Still Waiting
I've been periodically ranting on various school threads, but I figured I'd stop annoying those folks and let us all get together and have one soul-cleansing bitch session. I'll start.
Applied to Michigan, NYU and Duke 10/18. Not shit. WTF.

Applied to Harvard, Stanford, UCLA and USC on 10/23-10/24. Now, Harvard and Stanford I can understand the delay - given my numbers (174/3.4) I'm just pleased not to be rejected yet. But USC and UCLA, what the hell guys?

Re: For October Applicants Who Are Still Waiting
I went complete at a few schools that aren't good enough to mention in a thread containing Duke, Harvard, USC, and UCLA
...at the beginning of Oct. Still nothing.
One school actually has changed my "complete" date under status checker like 10 times to make it appear that they haven't been dragging their ass for months. They even sent me an email stating they were sorry for the delay (no I didn't ask them-they just sent it).
I guess the common question is whether we'd just be rejected to begin with or have the decision drawn out. Pisses me off and NO-based on what I've seen on TLS and Numbers, you're certainly not alone.

I didn't apply to super high ranked schools but I did apply in October to Alabama, Florida, and Florida State and have yet to hear yay or nay or way-lay from them. Happy to not be rejected but still.

FWIW...I'd rather be told rejected than to wait and be wait listed.whitman wrote:That ain't what this thread is about! Everyone is welcome! I'm an October (and a couple leaking into early November) applicant who has yet to hear decisions from 5/14 schools.

A HUGE +1 to that!TOMaHULK wrote:

Still waiting on Columbia, NYU, Michigan and BU. I've pretty much got my mind made up, but it would be nice to have a definitive answer from these last 4 so I can make a final decision.

Mid-October still waiting on Stanford and Columbia... Stanford is understandable, but Columbia has given out acceptances/holds/waitlists/rejections to almost all the other TLS applicants with dates/numbers all around mine so I'm not really sure what is going on

Heard from: Berkeley (yes), Gtown (yes), BU (yes), Penn (yes); GW (yes)
On Hold (does this count as hearing???): Harvard, Columbia
Waitlisted: Chicago (already withdrew)
No f*ing word: Yale, Stanford, NYU
I agree about wishing they would just reject rather than keep this torture going only to waitlist me... Maybe I will feel differently when I actually get those "After careful consideration, we regret to inform you..." letters. Still afraid of little white envelopes in my mailbox...

Applied to UF, FSU, and Tulane in SEPTEMBER... haven't heard from any of them (I know.. no Duke, Yale, Harvard, etc...
)
I've heard back from all the other schools I applied to, though.. except for Maryland, but I just sent in that app a couple days ago.

Got a couple quick acceptances, but my 10/25 submission is still open at CLS. Zero word.
