They accepted me and they don't even know my name
I received an acceptance email today and it wasn't exactly addressed to me. They switched out my first name for a more common girls' name starting with the same letter. I'm sure this isn't going to be a problem, but I'm can't help feeling disappointed. The names aren't even close.

Was it a solid acceptance for your numbers? If it was, who cares?

Do you spell your name really stupidly? Maybe they just wanted to correct it?cinephile wrote:I received an acceptance email today and it wasn't exactly addressed to me. Example: Malysa instead of Melissa

Lol Chicago did this to me. Sent me a letter that was addressed to some indian kid that lives like 20 minutes away. I got the letter to him and asked Chicago to send me my own letter just so I can keep it on record.

I got one where it said congratulations(example) Doe, John!
and my last name isn't a first name, ever.

When applying for undergrad, I got an email addressed to the only other black girl in honors courses at my high school. Not the same as law school but equally irritating and funny (in my opinion). These things happen.

It's cool, in high school I was emphatically rejected from a school I didn't even apply to. At least in your case if they weren't going to admit you now they might out of sheer embarrassment.
