Any applicants on here? I'm sort of doubting it.

I applied. And I'm from Idaho (my TLS profile is doped, so St. Thomas on my map is UI).

Your avatar is by far the best I've seen. Is that a freaking wookiee with a monocle?
I'm from Idaho too. Idaho Falls to be exact.
I go to Utah St, but have maintained Idaho residency. It's definitely an attractive choice for someone in my LSAT range.

I've been in review for a little over a month now, fingers crossed. Below the median for GPA but about the 75 for LSAT, out of state too. Good luck everyone!

153 is 75%? I thought it was around 156/157.. Or did you retake?
I thought I was median at 154. If you're right, maybe I'll get a scholarship?
Perhaps I'm mistaken. Whatever it is, I wish you the best, and hope you get in.

Moscow's a fun college town too. My sister and best friend graduated UG there so I'm very familiar with the area.bloobook wrote:I was accepted awhile ago with a $3,000 scholarship. Still not sure if I'll be accepting the offer of admission since I'm waiting on a handful of other schools to get back to me, but you can't beat the class size, tuition, and beauty of the area!

Just got accepted to Idaho via phone call, but I'm not sure yet since its so early. To be honest, tuition costs and having family in the area makes Idaho pretty high up on my list! They mentioned an accepted students day in March, but I'm not sure if its worth going to.

Re: Idaho 2011
I applied due to their Native Law program. My application went in on 1/30 with an acceptance following on 2/10. (Scholarship information was included with the acceptance.) I believe, however, that I will be withdrawing this week after hearing back from another school that I'm very interested in. (The school in question has a slightly more comprehensive Native Law curriculum.)
Best of luck to all!

Applied 2/7, acceptance phone call 2/10. Scholarship info in mail, I'm told. High on my list of schools as COL is low, area is beautiful and family friendly, and JD/MSAT is intriguing.

Accepted on 2/17 by phone call (which in the world of anonymous status checkers/e-mails was nice). Wasn't really considering it until I started running the numbers and wow, the COA is really low. Plus, the school is small and it seems as though Idaho places well in the Mountain West despite being a TTT. Can anybody that knows better comment on that? How's Moscow? Seems nice but I've only been to Idaho once...and that was just to go to dinner in Couer D'Alene. Anybody else going to the open house on the 26th?

There's a good alumni network with UI.ocbrody wrote:Accepted on 2/17 by phone call (which in the world of anonymous status checkers/e-mails was nice). Idaho is nice if you like desolate and beautiful. Especially Moscow. It's a neat little college town with a great bar scene and good skiing nearby. It gets kinda cold, but not too bad. I always have fun when I'm there.
Boise is really chill. It's like a tablespoon of big city in the middle of nowhere, and believe me, you'll make it to Boise eventually.

I didn't apply to Idaho but this thread makes me miss home. I went to UG in Idaho. Moscow is a cute little college town.

Where did you do UG? I tried to PM you but you don't have that option. There's so few of us that we have to stick together.Hey-O wrote:I didn't apply to Idaho but this thread makes me miss home. I went to UG in Idaho. Moscow is a cute little college town.

Some. It's not really neccessary. You can get a neat little college apartment 5 minutes away for $250/month.dr123 wrote:Do many U Idaho students commute from Pullman?
Yeah.

Re: Idaho 2011
Just stopping by to say hi. I go to school on the East coast (2L), but intend to practice in Idaho. I have family in Rexburg and previously lived in Pocatello. Working this summer for a state district court judge. If you want to practice in Idaho, UI is a good choice. The really low median starting salary there is a concern (something like $43k a year), but I think that's as much a function of the legal economy in the state as it is a reflection on the school itself.
