Widener Law School

Post by NJcollegestudent » Tue Jan 18, 2011 8:28 pm

I was accepted today, and was wondering if anyone else applied? I received a "Full Scholar" email, and i did not see an amount. Did anyone else see this, or receive it?

It's the only law school in Delaware so if that's where you want to practice it's not as bad as it's ranking would suggest. Delaware has a small community of practicing lawyers so the alumni base is pretty strong. If you don't want to practice in Delaware I'd stay away. Even if you did want to practice in Delaware you'd be much better off at Villanova or somewhere else in the greater Philadelphia area. Also, FWIW the University of Delaware has announced plans to open its own law school somewhere around 2015. This should hurt Widener significantly.

Just was accepted this morning! This was my first acceptance, and it was a long time coming! So, for those who have been accepted, how did you find out about scholly info? I saw NJcollegestudent received an email? Can you also find the information on their website? Sorry, could probably find all this myself, but I'm pretty excited after my first acceptance! :!:
