Probably won't find many people here who applied. I pulled up NIU's page on LSN for you:

I applied around 11/30 and NIU sent me an email on Wednesday saying that they are beginning
to review applications. But no word yet about any decision made.

You might have to wait a while.

My friend applied there last year (I think mid-October) and didn't hear anything until May!! It was a safety for her, so it's not like she did much to follow up on it, but still!! To apply fairly early in the cycle and not get more than an email with status checker log in information in seven months is pretty slow! I think they've got funding issues (which means they're probably understaffed).

If they cant even process your application how do you think they will be at helping you get a job? This school should not even exist...sorry but it shouldnt.

I agree. Same for JMLS. They take forever too.

I went under review 1/4. I think I was complete on 11/18 though. What about you?

I was just accepted with no money, so it went straight in the trash. Haha, I didn't even read the letter just saw no dollar amount on it.

I didn't get any dollar amount either but my numbers are above both above the 75th percintiles and the letter said financial aid information would be forthcoming. Does that mean scholarships will be sent out later?

should be fine, i was 155/3.3 and i got 4k/yr from Southern, and i don't imagine that Northern is any more selective. I would be surprised if you didn't get any money with these numbers.

I talked to admissions on the phone the other day. They said scholarships will be sent out in mid March.

I submitted my app in mid December, went complete with the January LSAT, and under review on 2/4. If they are going to be sending out scholarship info in mid March, I would hope to hear something soon.
