Western New England College School of Law
I haven't seen this thread yet so I thought I'd start it. Has anyone gotten a decision from them yet?

Re: Western New England College School of Law
I got in on Monday. I live close enough to commute, but my undergrad is ranked significantly above their institution. I don'r know if I will go. I want to practice in Hartford, and I think UCONN would be much better and even Quinnipiac. I was hoping for money from them, but it looks like I won't be getting more unless some other schools throw me more. I would be down for bargaining.

How did they notify you? I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I got a phone call. Yikes, the school doesn't list any salary info. I found online that most are lucky to make 40-50k if they can find a job.roxyripscurl wrote:jaydizzle wrote:I got in on Monday. I think it was 11/22. It was around then. Are you really interested in WNEC?ab633 wrote:My file went complete 11/30 and I still haven't heard anyting. How long ago did you apply?

Yeah, I'd like to be somewhere in New England and my numbers are on the low end for most of the other schools. What about you?

Re: Western New England College School of Law
I might be good for some schools better than WNEC, it will depend on how much they want my GPA. I was definitely a shoe in for WNEC though. I like UCONN a lot, but I am not sure I will get in. I am hoping that perhaps they will throw me a bone and take me PT.ab633 wrote:Yeah, I'd like to be somewhere in New England and my numbers are on the low end for most of the other schools. Yes, I got a good amount. I rather not say how much. I was a bit disappointed. I thought I would be getting more. I guess I can always negotiate if other places give more.

That's pretty similar to me. Have you heard anything from Michigan State? I get deferred to "re-review in February."

They gave me 3 weeks to write a why MSU essay. Did they email you telling you they would like a why MSU essay for scholarship consideration and admission? I just went back to complete after I submitted my essay. I might be hearing soon.ab633 wrote:That's pretty similar to me. Have you heard anything from Michigan State? No, they just said they would like to re-review my file in mid February. I never got an email just snail mail. It said I should supplement my file with documents that speak to my interest in the university so I took that as meaning a why msu essay which I wrote and submitted. Mine was about a page long. How long was yours?

They told me to do a 2 page one on why MSU and what career goals I had. It was tough for me heh. Best of luck to you. If you want to chat any time over AIM or something give me a PM.
