Has anyone else had this as their status checker? If so, what was the outcome, and how much later?

My visual image was: they looked at my application, chuckled a little bit, and threw it back on a pile to laugh at it later.

What school is this? Status checkers vary wildly but it sounds like a waitlist.

I think the general consensus is that they hold it to keep reviewing it against the files that keep coming in.

It means they reserve the right to keep reviewing until April, at which point you will either be accepted, denied or WL
If it is a school you REALLY want, I would send in an ILoveYouLetter

Actually, I think it means you're being "held", which means they've reviewed your app and they can't reach a decision on it (neither accept, nor WL, nor ding) so they're going to come back to it later or something. Maybe they will be coming back to it before they review their waitlist? It's weird and I don't know much about it, but try to look around on this site for info on being "held" because you're definitely not the first person to have this question.
