For those of you applied to Northwestern
Did you all include the CPE form together with the recommendation letters?
This is a annoying and weired rule since my professors are super busy and I don't want to approach them for another stupid form.
And I assume it will hurt if I send RL without the form or don't send my rl at all.
What did you guys do? Thanks?

I didn't do the forms. I just did standard recs, and I got in!

Re: For those of you applied to Northwestern
I started my app thoroughly confused about NU's policy on letters, but this blog post seems to be a pretty definitive summary of their new recommendation procedure: --LinkRemoved--
In summary, they prefer their own CPE form to a standard letter, but they'll take whatever you give them. From the blog post:
However, I have NOT been admitted (or denied) yet, so take it fwiw.
Edit: And good luck!

I ended up NOT submitting any of my letters and just having my recommender fill out the CPE form online here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=R ... 1vug_3d_3dThe truth: you can pretty much submit whatever you want to us, but we prefer the CPE.

I did LoR from one professor and a CPE from that professor.

Re: For those of you applied to Northwestern
I was under the impression that they didn't want letters from professors, so I just asked my employer (far less eloquent than my professors) to send in the CPE. The CPE is kind of a scary form though... also, it seems like anyone could just fill it out and send it in.

Re: For those of you applied to Northwestern
I didn't submit any letters, but had a former boss fill out the CPE online.
I haven't heard yet, but Northwestern is also a reach for me, so take that fwiw.
I think they prefer professional recommendations to academic, but these are secondary to numbers (and w/e).

Didn't submit any of my academic LoRs, just had my supervisor fill out the CPE, and I got in. It was my impression that this was what they kinda preferred.
I had her fill out the online form (they have a surveymonkey set up).
172/3.63, 2 years WE (as of Fall 2011)
EDIT - And I got in.

Re: For those of you applied to Northwestern
I sent in two LSAC recs and had one of those recommenders fill out the NU CPE form (but only the NU form). (Complete 11/1, haven't heard anything back yet)
