In at WAKE

Post by plug1 » Thu Dec 16, 2010 4:01 pm

Figured I'd create a thread for those applicants accepted to Wake Forest.

Any ideas on when scholarship info may come out?

First half of January for scholarships, according to LSN.

How generous are they typically?

They seem pretty generous. Check out LSN for specific numbers.

if it's anything like last year they will send you an e-mail congratulating you on a full scholarship, and minutes later send an e-mail retracting the offer, saying it was a mistake, /wakefail, and one reason i didn't go there.

So I looked at last year's thread and people who were accepted in December had their status change to "Admitted Scholar" around 1/7 and 1/8, then on 1/12 scholarships started coming out by email.

Good to know...

LSN seems to suggest quite a bit of scholarship money to be had for the first round of admits... I am hoping for a piece of that pie! :D

I had to dig really deep to find this one, which kinda surprises me. Oh well, just met with the dean of admissions at Wake and I am in for 2011. This is one of my top choices, so I'm pretty excited. It seems like an awesome campus.

What are everyone's feelings about the school? Anyone else in?

I'm in at Wake, and will be attending in the Fall. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

What is the scholarship range that I should be expecting at 165/3.5?

I've looked at lsn, but was wondering if anyone else had an opinion.

I was accepted yesterday...is that gonna put me in a different position than those accepted in the first round?
