It looks like they're finishing up the rest of the applications...decision mailed 5/12 with a $700 deposit due 6/3. Will be withdrawing...good luck to those on the WL and still awaiting decisions!

$700 is your first deposit? , thats one of the higher 1st deposits Ive seen..

Looks like there will be no movement until after 6/3 (give or take two weeks, granted its a postmarked date)...

Thanks for the withdraw though..

They combined my first and second deposits so that they're due the same date

Is that just you or everyone? If its everyone, looks like they are trying to just get only committed students and not play the whole "ill pay now and withdraw later"...

They weren't doing it a couple weeks ago, but they probably did it for me since second deposits at most schools are already due in two weeks. It'll help them pull applicants from the WL earlier

It says Decision Mailed and at the bottom it says 700.00 due 6/3..Does this mean I was accepted? I'm out of state for the next 10 days or so, so I won't be able to check my mail until then.

Thanks. They emailed me the documents that were mailed to me. There was no information about a scholarship or grant offered. While I do want to go to Santa Clara, sticker price doesn't sound very enticing. I have deposits at a couple other top schools and I wrote an email to the admissions council asking them to reconsider regarding financial aid. Has anyone else had any luck with this?

Since deposits seem to be due around early June, is that when they will start accepting off the waitlist? Or could it be earlier?

I was just accepted yesterday and offered $7500 but I have to pay that $700 deposit pretty quickly if I want to hold my spot. My other best offer so far is University of Denver at full cost (which puts them at about the same price)...any opinions on which school would be the better choice? It seems like I just need to visit Santa Clara to get an idea.. Thanks.

Is there a group on Facebook for SCU class of 2014?

That would probably be a good thing to have in order to find roommates?

Speaking of which, where are you guys planning on living? Home, grad housing, nearby apts?

new to this forum! thanks to whoever created it.

sent in my second deposit friday.

anyone living away from campus? perhaps a 10-15 min drive away?
my sister has a house in SJ, and in the interest of saving money, i've decided to stay in her guest room (we'll see how this works out)

is anyone else doing something similar?

anyone else driving to school? how much is the parking permit?
