Post by JDLaf » Sat Oct 23, 2010 8:09 am

Applied a while ago and finally went "in review" a week or so ago. Anyone else heard back from Valpo?

I think they are going to start making decisions soon. The date of my status checker changed twice in the last week and then today I logged in and everything is blank (not even my name or other demographic data appear). Best of luck!

@hefox and $1.99: I am not applying to Valpo, but I still find your comments unnecessary. I am pretty sure every applicant in this thread knows where Valpo stands in the rankings and your back-handed attempt to critcize their chosen school is uncalled for.

Admitted via status checker as well! I heard some people got phone calls letting them know they were accepted but I am deployed right now so my cell phone does not work over here. Anyone else get a call?

I don't remember the exact date. but I'm pretty sure it was around mid-October also.

Finally back and able to use my cell phone again and had a message from an Admissions counselor congratulating. She also said a packet was in the mail on 11/19 so I guess I'll wait to see if I got any $...really hoping for at least $15k, we'll see.

I got my packet over the weekend, and they wanted me to accept/deny the offer within 2 weeks. From what I heard, that's not normal. I'm going to withdraw, so I hope that it helps one of you guys.

Its not an offer acceptance. Its an acknowledgement of the offer you received and the requirement to update them if any of your application materials/status changes. I had the same feeling and called.

Oh ok, that's good to know. That 2 week deadline kind of freaked me out. Thanks!

Just sent my application to Valparaiso Law School for the fall. They sent a nice viewbook for reading, and their staff seems nice.

Sent on 11/30, listed as under review on 12/03. Hopefully there will be some news quick. I am waiting on my first acceptance and would be surprised to be declined. But I would like to know something soon, just because I'm anxious!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
