yeah i agree with A'noldA'nold wrote:I have a crap ton of experience w/ both and I would say SU hands down.
I don't have as much experience with either of these schools as he does, but just think about it....do you want to be stuck in Sacramento making 55-60k, or Seattle making 55-60k?
For the record I think attending one of these schools at 100k+ debt is probably a mistake.

Also: you will struggle to find a decent job from either school, even with good grades. It's just the nature of these two schools. Seattle U does try to keep it classy and does have a very good Seattle rep. whereas McGeorge's administration gives off a kind of salesman feel.

Re: seattle university vs mcgeorge (uop)
I picked McGeorge (with full scholarship) over Seattle ($45k scholarship), and it wasn't a hard decision at all. At this point the only way I'm pulling out of McGeorge at all is if I get into Georgetown off the SPWL.
Four reasons NOT related to the scholarship:
1) My long-term goal is working in public policy, so I want the government opportunities.
2) I like Sacramento better than Seattle. Better climate, longer farmer's market season, and less traffic.
3) McGeorge was highly recommended by people I know well - enough to convince me that what the administration says is not that much of a sales pitch.
4) Pacific offers a much better student health insurance plan than Seattle, at least where my expected needs are concerned. Health insurance is a make-or-break for me, and Seattle's plan had exclusions that warranted immediately dropping the school from consideration.
