Should I mention scholarships to other schools in Loci?
Should I mention scholarships I've been awarded at the school I've deposited at when I am writing a wait list LOCI to another school? Are there downsides to this that I haven't thought of?

Why would you do this?
This doesn't sound like a good idea.

I put a line in my LOCI about having other substantial scholarship offers at tier 1 schools. Within the week I was removed from the waitlist and offered money. Certainly this is anecdotal evidence but it may help.

I was offered a fairly prestigious named scholarship at another school. It is lower ranked but still in the T20, and the scholarship is only offered to two students a year.SwollenMonkey wrote:Why would you do this?

Just a guess. (In which case I was prepared to be insanely jealous.)Hey-O wrote:No.webbylu87 wrote:Webster Society at WUSTL?Hey-O wrote:I was offered a fairly prestigious named scholarship at another school. I guess I don't see how it would hurt. I would probably only include it if you could preface it with a statement reaffirming this school as your first choice despite a significant scholarship offer from another institution. What do I know though.

Now that I've understood why, I'm going to put this on my LOCI as well. Thanks.
