I am the king of waitlists.

Post by Flanker1067 » Thu Apr 29, 2010 8:36 pm

I would like to claim my dominance, or be proven wrong which may happen here. I applied to 14 schools and have been waitlisted by 11. 7 of those are T13. This is about 80% waitlist return. Beat that TLS. (Disclaimer: I am not even disappointed, I got one T13 that I am happy with, just sayin, if you wish to be known for the outrage that is the waitlist, you can post here)

Edited because the T14 no longer exists, so rather than 8 ofthe T14, its 7 of the T13.

Indeed, but I think the correct way to refer to it is Gtttown PTTT

I got waitlisted at:
Columbia
NYU
UVA
Michigan
Penn
Georgetown (later accepted)
UCLA many many errors on application (fee waiver and I want to practice in NY).
BU applied late
BC
GW applied late

How I got waitlisted at Columbia and BC is beyond me. Feels like they shouldnt be giving me the same decision lol. However, I consider this to be the greatest cycle ever as since I am withdrawing soon I will have never been rejected from a college or law school lol (I applied ED to college).

Btw im just kidding about best cycle ever, I was disapointed about NYU and Penn and started freaking out after BC and Gtown in the same day before I had any acceptances, but it all worked out in the end

and only got into Cornell and Fordham. I'm not even a splitter

I got waitlisted at 5 of the 6 schools I applied to... 83% waitlist rate.

Turned out alright for me though... I was fortunate enough to get a scholarship offer from the one school that accepted me.

Regardless, I wish ONE school would have had the nuts to flat-out reject me.
