Indeed. I also think the NYU WL could have more potential than the pit of despair of the Columbia "reserve" list.Cali167 wrote:I think with the massive WL wave we desrve our own thread.

Re: NYU Waitlist 2010
yes... 2010 thread was getting way too long...
hm, curious to know how miserable our chances are of getting of this WL?
sent my letter of interest to stay on the WL today

I don't even think about my Columbia reserve anymore. I sent my LOCI and I made my peace. I love the glimmer of hope at NYU...OneKnight wrote:Indeed. Re: NYU Waitlist 2010
why is columbia reserve so much more terrible than NYU WL... from LSN, almost looks equivalent
(although obviously, LSN is not really representative)

Any stats on how many people get admitted off the wait list each year?

Re: NYU Waitlist 2010
Joining this thread. Do you think its ok to send a LOCI separately from the letter of intent to stay on the waitlist (the one we just check and sign) or should they be sent in together?

I think it is okay to send them in separately. That's what I did.

Waiting as well. Still, I prefer this to Columbia's ridiculous 'reserve' merry-go-round.

Re: NYU Waitlist 2010
Today, I received email noting that they are withdrawing my app from the waitlist because I did not indicate that i wanted to remain on there. WTF, NYU! I sent my app in December, and you never let me know whether I was In, Out, or WL. Then, I get this douchy email! Grrr, I know I want a tax career bad, but this is ridiculous.
So, I guess in a nutshell, I am on the NYU waitlist! Yippie! I'm still going to Wash U with a big a$$ scholly, but at least now I can say I was not outright rejected by any of the 20 schools I applied to.
