University of Baltimore 2013
Has anyone else deposited at Baltimore? I'd assume most people on a "top" law schools forum are going to a T100 school, but for those who are heading to Baltimore, this is your home!
Admittedly I'm on several waitlists and am hoping to go somewhere else, but I need to start wrapping my head around the possibility that this is where I'll be for at least the next 3 years.

Well, you already know I'm probably going to be there in the fall, unless I get off the waitlists ...yay.

Re: University of Baltimore 2013
I joined yesterday so I'm waiting as well. I want to start looking for potential roommates. I've decided living in a studio or alone somewhere would be way too depressing, but I also don't want to live with completely random people, especially non-law students.

Yeah, I may be stuck doing that as well since I'm waiting until late July or so to sign a lease. I do really want a roommate or two though. I'm going to the housing fair too, but it's going to suck since we won't be signing leases then. It'll just be a big tease haha. Maybe we can put a deposit down to hold our spot until July/August and then sign a lease? I don't really know how it works.

I put down a deposit and will be going there as well if I don't get off waitlists or into any schools I'm waiting on... I filled out that roommate questionnaire and will either get a studio or a roommate if I find someone haha

Glad to see there's a few of us! Haleydee, where did you find the roommate questionnaire?
I'm also wondering how many people are out of state considering it's a state school. I'm from NY.

I was wondering if anyone knew how they placed in NoVa/D.C.
I know they're great for Baltimore/Maryland, and I'm assuming only top 10% or so get jobs in D.C. (not big law) but I don't really have employment statistics off hand - anywhere know where I could find them?

I'm not really quite sure, but I'll do some research for ya, and I'll get back to you...I'm probably going down with one of my friends who lives down there so I was going to stop by admissions...I'll make sure I ask.

Thanks! If you get a chance, ask about establishing residency in MD/in-state tuition. That would save us ~25Kellewoods09 wrote:NYVA311 wrote:I was wondering if anyone knew how they placed in NoVa/D.C.

I just re-read the e-mail about June 11th - apparently we're getting tickets to an Orioles Vs. Mets game?

I saw the thing about the baseball game too...they said we get 2 tickets so I'm not really sure how that works and such or if it's simply a 1L thing or whatever...not a big baseball fan unless its the Yankees. I'm more of a football girl (Go Giants) who's going to be stuck in Raven's country for a little bit, as well as being distraught that I can no longer go to the Meadowlands every weekend and see my team .

Hey! Great to see UBalt on here! Just joined the facebook group, and have recently visited the area looking at apartments. Really loved the Prof. Arts Building and the Fitzgerald but definitely need a roommate for them! What are you guys thinking?

If I end up attending UBalt in the Fall (which is about 99% likely) I'm def living at the Fitzgerald...I don't know if I could turn down an apartment building with a barnes & noble, starbuxs, and bar all within the confines of the building...are you def attending in the fall?

The Fitzgerald looks awesome but I'd need to find a roommate - very pricey. As for other apartments, I'm going to the housing fair on June 11th so hopefully I'll find some good options then.

Anyone else know of good apartments in Baltimore/where law students live? I'm still not sure whether it'd be better to live close to the law school or somewhere else that may be a nicer neighborhood..
