Looks like people didn't hear anything about 2nd reserve/rejections until June 6 last year. http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=250

Earlier somebody posted that they called the admissions office was told that we'd receive decisions sometime in June.

Howdy y'all, just checking in. I was placed on reserve in January. Sent a hand-written LOCI. Haven't heard anything since. Makes me wonder if I should confirm that they received the LOCI...
Anyhoo, will update when I hear something. I hope you all will do the same. Hopefully we'll hear something next week. In the meantime, quick checking TLS, get outside, and enjoy the long weekend!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!

Wonder if they'll touch the reserve list this year. NYU made it sound like they were def not going to need to.

I was also wondering why I didn't receive any letter from them since I submitted my application. And then my parents (in China) got a snail mail from CLS yesterday, which was sent on Apr.29, asking me to confirm my position on the reserve list by May 20... apparently I missed it.
I had my current US mailing address in my application and I don't understand why they sent the letter to my permanent address in China...

So very true. PLUS, they keep stringing you along with the First, Second, Third game...I'm all for the free option of a WL, but just wasn't worth it to stay on that merry-go-round at Columbia. To all you brave souls still hanging on, best of luck.dreaming wrote:+1 - It seems like no one gets accepted from reserve, but I'm not giving hope yet!chanchito wrote:Wow that really sucks...

Think of it this way... if a new virus plagues the country killing off 90 percent of the college aged population, we will all be shoe-ins.

If you're not rejected or accepted, you'll be put on second reserve. People are just [understandably] fretting.anonym1202 wrote:im on the first reserve ...i'm a bit confused about the reserves will there be 2nd reserve for sure or why are people saying that we're all out?

Re: Columbia Reserve 2010
how will they notify us of the second reserve or acceptance/rejection? will it be via email or still via snail mail?

Re: Columbia Reserve 2010
from what I remember from last year's thread, rejections came via snail mail, acceptances via phone call (maybe it was a little interview?).
people are assuming we're "all out" because there is so little movement on Columbia's Reserve compared to the enormity of the list they keep. Some people do get in off of reserve, but it's a very small number. Last year, I believe they were still admitting people through late July.

Joining the party here on reserve, I was told from an anonymous source that they start review next week. Reliability of source probably decent.

Re: Columbia Reserve 2010
I spoke with the admissions office yesterday. They made their first reserve decisions the last week of May and sent the letters out via post. If you are on reserve, you should receive a letter any day now with a decision: admit, reject, or invite to move on to second reserve. This is good information.
Please post your results, with your numbers, as you receive them.
