Letter of rec from a Cornell professor

Post by katie96 » Wed Mar 17, 2010 3:26 pm

One of my professors who I have taken multiple classes with at my Florida university is a Harvard grad who taught at Cornell for 25+ years. Would a letter from this guy affect my Cornell application in any positive way?

It would if he has good things to say about you; it will not if he does not. His words will have much more sway than whatever titles/distinctions he has held.

unless he was a professor at the law school i doubt it'd be much different than a rec from a professor at any other undergrad institution.

and yeah, his words will mean a lot more than his credentials
