I chose schools mostly by location, some by rank, and a few by statistical ranges only (realistic shots).

I'll admit I reached heavily on 3-4 of them, moderate reaches on 6-7, light reaches on 3-4, and probably 1-2 realistic options.

So I'm not feeling sorry for myself or anything, I knew this cycle would be a blood bath for me. But I'm holding out hope for that one window to open.

Most apps went out around Christmas. A few went out in mid-Feb. Regretting postponing my apps til after Thanksgiving...

About half my apps are reaches. Four are targets, and two are what I thought were safeties. I apllied everywhere early january and the fact that I'm still pending at my "safeties" scares the bejesus outta me. I am an extreme splitter so maybe that has something to do with it. Keeping fingers crossed

BUT i was rejected from what I thought were my almost sure short scholly's. The rest are reaches of varying degrees. Not exactly expecting any acceptances but at the same time I was hoping to defer, which is why I didn't apply to too many safety's...
