does anyone have experience with Univ Miami waitlist
I was waitlisted. I wanted to know if anyone has information on how to best get an acceptance from this point, as well as my chances of admission. 156/3.0

Normally, I'd recommend sending a Letter of Continued Interest, taking a tour of the school and speaking personally with the admissions office, write a supplemental essay, send in a new letter of recommendation, etc...
But, based on your numbers, in all honesty (and I hate to be this blunt) you've got about as much chance of getting admitted as a blind man finding Waldo. A good rule of thumb is that if both your LSAT and GPA are under median, you're going to get auto-dinged. Your LSAT just beats their 25th%, and you're under the 25th% GPA. In all rights, you should have been denied straight up, and I find it surprising that you managed to get onto the wait-list at all. Are you an URM? If you are, you might still have a remote chance, and should take the advice I gave above. If you're not...I honestly wouldn't waste the energy. The problem is that wait-lists are ranked, and there are hundreds of people with better scores than yours who are also on that wait-list, and will be chosen first should the school need to draw from it.
Sorry.

Were you waitlisted or put on the "hold" category?

I am not a minority. I had a great personal statement.

As you can probably tell from LSN, there are a million people on hold/waitlist at UM with virtually the exact same numbers. Although I can't speak from experience, your best shot is to probably send in letters of continued interest (LOCI) and send in new Letters of recommendation. But, seeing as how there are so many people on the Miami waitlist, I wouldn't count on UM to come through.
Obviously, your best bet would be to retake the LSAT. Good luck.

I may withdraw from Miami within the next few weeks, so that could increase your chances. But yeah good luck...and sticker at the U? Yikes.
