So strange.
I got it too. Not gonna fill it out. I think the whole premise is stoopid.... "here, you be best friends... and you two, you be best friends..." If it was hookin up a 2/3L mentor, that'd be another story. But, Ill be spending an inordinate amount of time with the rest of the knucklehead 1Ls so I don't need to be told who I should be best friends with... That'll figure itself out.
I get the feeling that it might be a 2L/3L. While the turn of phrase "existing student" made me LOL (I was hoping to get matched up with a non-existing student), it makes me think that they mean 'current student', which would be a 2L+.
Even still, it was like filling out a dating questionnaire, except way more risky. I mean, maybe my "Ideal Friday Night" involves copious amounts of hookers and blow and a surprise party crash by Snoop, but who's going to write that on a law school survey read by the student bar association? C&F problems much? It's like trying to establish a friendship on bland lies.
Either way, I sent it back. While I don't expect it to turn out any BFFs, if I can get hooked up with someone who's getting into the same area of law I want to a year or two ahead of me, it might give me a job contact later on. Low cost, potentially decent reward.
