Indiana-Bloomington Status
Does anyone know how IU-Bloomington informs you of admission? Do they first send an email, or a phone call or snail mail? I have been complete since 11/16 and it has been officially 9 weeks since I last heard from them. So, I'm wandering what the hold up is. Also, does anyone have any theories on their relationship with IU-Indy? I was accepted there with scholarship money, but I'm a little fearful with the idea of possible communication among the two schools about candidates. i.e. "well, since you have him at IU-Indy, we won't accept him here."

They are very quiet. However, they don't mind if you call the admissions office for an update -- very friendly.
The comment about the communication between IUB and IUI has absolutely no basis in fact. I assure you.

I called IU today to check in since i went complete 11/9 (~11 weeks ago), and they said that 6-8 weeks is the ballpark figure, so not to worry. She said for me to call back if I haven't heard anything in two weeks.

I think you get a Priority Mail package if you're accepted.

Cool thanks everybody. I will give them a call. Yeah, I saw some people talking on another forum about the two schools talking and I was just unsure if there was any validity to it.

That 2.51GPA is pretty brutal...any chance you have significant WE to put between you and it? Your LSAT is solid and some good WE would go a long way.FUMAgrad05 wrote:I applied with a 2.51/166 w/upward trend, full time work through college, great LORs...any thoughts on my chances?

No distance between me and the gpa because I'm still in Undergrad but ive been an emergency veterinary technician for 4 years at the veterinary school's Intensive care unit (where i participated in research as well) to pay for school, owned a business for one year during college, and good volunteer work, and good addendum for my transcript.narkizopoint wrote:That 2.51GPA is pretty brutal...any chance you have significant WE to put between you and it? Re: Indiana-Bloomington Status
Okay everyone please read my post. I came on here to post it in the normal IU-B topic before I saw this near the top... I am going to be fairly loose on the details that don't matter to attempt some anymousity but the important part will folllow
I called them today and they asked when I applied and I said late. They said though it is normal for 6-8 weeks, they now expect it to be 12 weeks. I explained how they are my top choice but I have seat deposit due at Depaul and that I am weighin their 45k scholly. She told me to send an email to admissions which I promptly did. Within 2 hours I had an email reply telling me that they were moving my file to the interested section and I would have a reply in around 2 weeks.
My app is in my mind a coin flip and I truly do need an answer because I am having a hard enough choice choosing between full ride at TTT or the 45k at DePaul.
