Any evidence that they are still sending it out. I think they are done, and if we didn't get it today, we won't be getting it?

well from their tweet last thursday:

"We expect most financial aid letters out w/in the next week. Our process is very individualized and FA Comm is still preparing decisions."

They don't differentiate between merit & need-based.
This isn't true. Karla stated this in the Financial Aid chat, they don't delineate when they send you the actual number, but you can receive aid based off of need. Or what law schools like to call a need/merit basis.

It looks like everyone who got their emails today were the big number people based off of TLS and LSN.

I am dying!!!!
What I meant was they don't divide offers into need and merit based components, and they don't have "need-based grants." When I visited I talked to Karla, and she said that while scholarships may have a need-based component, they're pretty much only given to people who have something else "special" (be that good numbers, unique circumstances, etc.). At least the way it sounded to me, most people won't get $$ solely based upon need.

Edit - and congrats 0L, that's amazing!

I might choose UChicago. I'm seriously considering it now, and couldn't before because their LRAP is not good compared to other t14 schools. And I'm not in at Yale!

so... after what point would it not be tacky (or be less tacky) for me to ask for more?

-They already gave me 60K, I'm not trying to be overly greedy...except that I am
-I'm going to the ASW in April to see if I even would want to go to this school (I applied b/c of high rankings but I didn't know much about it other than that the undergrad is apparently "where fun goes to die." oh and I did model UN there one year in high school. lolnerd)
-So far, I've got Darrow at Michigan and $90k at Duke as "leverage", +whatever NYU throws at me
-I'm visiting CLS this week (not the admit days) and planning to try and shame them into giving me $$$ while I'm there so hopefully that will appear and then I can use it as leverage too

I'm thinking... maybe... after I visit the NYC schools but before I go to UMich ASW (the late march one) and the Chicago/April HLS ASW's? So maybe... early-mid March?

....thoughts?

They already went through the entire alphabet, it seems, for the first round, because people from the beginning, middle, and end heard.

I think I recall Karla saying that everyone will get a scholarship letter, even if only to be told they're not getting anything.
