Seriously? She didn't look pregnant at all when I talked to her during my JS1. Then again, I was staring at the camera instead of actually looking at her, so I'm not really sure what she looked like which is a bummer.OVOXO wrote:Have it on a good source (not Snowden) that JS was on maternity leave recently. Hypothetically if this is true, would it affect the admission cycle? Outside of a small lull (maybe that's what we're in right now), I doubt there would be any big differences. Aren't there assistant deans/the rest of the admissions team who would carry the load?OVOXO wrote:Have it on a good source (not Snowden) that JS was on maternity leave recently. Also - page 400 !!!! congrats, folks!
ETA: Scratch that, I don't even think we're in a lull at this point. Acceptances, rejections, and interview requests have all gone out last week.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
One of my good friends applied 2 cycles ago. That year, much to everyone's chagrin, decisions took an eternity at Harvard because Jessica Soban and Karen Buttenbaum were both on maternity leave (one left and when she came back the other left). So I think something like this could definitely delay things.

I feel like I wont get in simply because I can't even imagine getting that call and the ensuing freak out I would have (my JS1 was last tuesday and i'm just sitting here in class, needing to vent)

Wow 400 pages. For your neuroticism and insanity passion and dedication, everybody ITT deserves a JS2!
Seriously, I feel a wave of JS2 is coming.

Y'all scared me with that page jump, glad it was just baby talk. Hopefully we hear something good today (or at the very least, nothing bad).

Nothing like starting off your weekend with a solid JS1/2 wave.

I don't think we're getting anything today.
Maybe next week.
