I feel as though it's been so long since there were JS2s...just that one little Sunday night wave with a good proportion of URM applicants a couple weeks ago.
My fingers are crossed for a JS2 wave tomorrow or Friday...of course, I have no basis for thinking there will be one other than my quiet desperation.

I'm really thinking Monday, with a little smidgeon of hope for Friday JS2s mixed in with rejections.

If we assume they'll keep up their Thursday/Friday trend of sending out decisions, AND keep in mind their plans of getting out most of the decisions by April 1, then tomorrow and the day after that — one of only two Thu/Fri combinations left before April 1 — appear very promising for decisions to come out.

You mean other than 3/27 and 3/28?

Yeah, that's the other one. And perhaps they'll both be loaded.teampeeta wrote:neprep wrote:If we assume they'll keep up their Thursday/Friday trend of sending out decisions, AND keep in mind their plans of getting out most of the decisions by April 1, then tomorrow and the day after that — one of only two Thu/Fri combinations left before April 1 — appear very promising for decisions to come out.

Deep down I know that I don't mean this if it means rejection but I long for closure. I've been trying to get into law school since October, 2012, when I took my first LSAT.neprep wrote:Yeah, that's the other one. Thankful for the JS1; would love a JS2...or anything.
Last year's thread effectively closed at the end of April and people moved on to the waitlist thread. We are getting so close to that point. Good luck everyone.

Do people get waitlisted without a JS1?

Trip got in after being waitlisted without an interview. Then he interviewed and was accepted...lucky bastard!drawstring wrote:Yes. In the past lots of people.Lightworks wrote:Do people get waitlisted without a JS1?

There is also the possibility of JS1b's off the waitlist. Essentially a shorter JS1 following the initial interview to ensure that someone who they're accepting off the WL will actually attend.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Yeah, I think this is for people who already had JS1s and then were WL'd. For the people who are WL'd without a JS1, I believe the interview is more substantive. Although I think the ratio of JS1-->JS2 for people on the WL is even higher than the JS1-->JS2 ratio for the regular applicant pool.drawstring wrote:There is also the possibility of JS1b's off the waitlist. Yep, the chances of getting in off the WL are actually pretty good. Oxie posted some data showing that per LSN 1 in 4 who were waitlisted got in.

Yeah. I actually meant that the vast majority of ppl with JS1s after they're WL'd get in. But your statement is apt too.drawstring wrote:Yep, the chances of getting in off the WL are actually pretty good. Oxie posted some data showing that per LSN 1 in 4 who were waitlisted got in.

I never thought the wait would get more difficult with fewer schools.

I don't think it got harder but it's become more intense and focused. At least we all have places to go in the fall.scoobers wrote:I never thought the wait would get more difficult with fewer schools.
I'm really happy with my second choice!

Not if you temper your expectations. If you are realistic about your chances then positive news will come as a pleasant surprise. I think at this point the best thing for everyone still waiting would be to proceed as if they are going to choice #2.rseaney wrote:i mean to be neither a negativenancy nor a debbiedowner, but i think its only going to get worseNoDayButToday wrote:I don't know why, but today has been really hard.scoobers wrote:I never thought the wait would get more difficult with fewer schools.

A couple people ITT who had recent JS1s mentioned that their interviewer said they'd get back to them by Aprilmuzzy wrote:Forgive me if this is somewhere buried in the thread... After reading here that S wants things settled by 4/1, has H made any similar proclamations?
If someone were to interview me right now, I'm sure they'd admit that I'd enjoy this to be all over.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
