Anyone got a call yet?

Just to play devil's advocate... if there are 60 in the facebook group already, I doubt those are all Asha admits. That's something between 75% and 100% of Asha admits (1) being on facebook and into joining groups and (2) having made a decision in favor of Yale already. Both those seem like questionable assumptions.

But I have no inside information, sadly.

some are admits from last year who deferred. they might have changed the system since my friend spoke with that professor, who knows? Rejections did roll out earlier this year than in past years...

Yeah a disproportionately high number of YLS admits defer so I bet 20 or so of those in the FB group were admitted in previous years.

Yeah most likely because they had to go save another orphanage in Haiti or write another oscar winning screenplay.

I bet they're still in complete shock from my masterful resume, brilliant personal statement, and deeply incisive 250. They're probably deciding if they should admit me to the J.D. program or just appoint me as a full professor. Yeah. That's it.

I think what someone said earlier about how most of the people admitted so far are Asha admits and not faculty review would make sense. In that interview (posted previously), she says that she admits between 50 and 80 people without faculty review, and right now there are about 60 people in the facebook group (YLS 2013). Obviously, not all the admits will be in the facebook group, but 60 out of 80 seems like a reasonable number to be on facebook. It also seems like the faculty reviewed admits will not all come out at the same time right? Since we all sent our apps in at different times, it would make sense that they would be staggered as well.

This is all conjecture, but let me know if it seems reasonable...

Joining the group doesn't mean you've decided on Yale. They cleverly invite you to join so that you can receive more info, updates, etc. Plus the fact that you can't see anything about the group and who's in it unless you join = I think it's fair to say that the majority probably end up joining.

Joining the group doesn't mean you've decided on Yale. They cleverly invite you to join so that you can receive more info, updates, etc. Plus the fact that you can't see anything about the group and who's in it unless you join = I think it's fair to say that the majority probably end up joining.

The YLS admissions process is probably the only one that involves wiretapping. That's why it takes so long.
