Yeah, that's kind of the consensus that I have as well. I'd totally take the large scholarship and wait a year, if they choose to do that. At my interview though, they said that I was more fine with the WE side, since I've worked full-time in ugrad and did a 2 year LDS mission.Desert Fox wrote:You are over both medians, but you are from undergrad. Viola - last week they admitted someone with your LSAT and a bit higher GPA who had 0 work experience and didn't interview. Unless that person was URM and I somehow missed it, I think you'll probably be ok.

Re: Northwestern 2010
Thanks for the info! Actually, my parents having gone there is a reason that I want to go, but having my parents living near there is one of the greatest deterrents. My Mom was like, if you go there, I can visit you on the weekends!! Omg, please no!NancyBotwin wrote:Viola - last week they admitted someone with your LSAT and a bit higher GPA who had 0 work experience and didn't interview. As someone applying from UG who desperately wants to go to NU, this acceptance caught my eye. I still can't really believe it. My numbers are 172/3.8 and I'll be shocked if i get into NU.NancyBotwin wrote:Viola - last week they admitted someone with your LSAT and a bit higher GPA who had 0 work experience and didn't interview. A 24-month JD is a great idea. But joining the 2Ls for OCI 2010 this fall does not appeal to me.Desert Fox wrote:I wish I had enough work experience to do the AJD. It is appealing to me.

Good point. By 2011 the backlog of differed first year associates will be completely gone.NayBoer wrote:A 24-month JD is a great idea. But joining the 2Ls for OCI 2010 this fall does not appeal to me.Desert Fox wrote:I wish I had enough work experience to do the AJD. It is appealing to me.

Based on last week, it seems they are going back to the pattern they used last year. Which means that today will be more rejections, and tomorrow more acceptances - and they should be finishing off people who were complete by 12/1 (though as behind as they are, who knows if that will actually happen).Tangerine Gleam wrote:Complete 11/12, still no answer. Dear Northwestern,
Please don't let the fact that I would be happy to be on your waitlist deter you from accepting me outright. I love you long time.
Sincerely,
E. Brown

Also, the AJDs have really intensive schedules. They take 1L classes like Contracts and Property in ~5 weeks over the summer, and CivPro for ~11 weeks, then they have two 17-credit semesters.Desert Fox wrote:Good point. AJDs are workhorses. At least they don't usually have a curve.

Status checker says I'm still being processed since 12/21 . . . anyone else waited this long? I know the holidays are in there, but come on! I'm not expecting a decision, just a complete.

I got permission from Ken. Now I just need the time. Looking at starting this weekend, maybe. I also have to figure out about to structure it so that it will be approved by Apple for the App Store.mayosmith wrote:Hey Cy, how's that TLS app coming?CyLaw wrote:Oh good. Right now, I'm spending my free time pouring over the documentation for the new iPad. Only 120 more pages of reference docs, Interface guidelines, and Core Application guidelines to read.

This. They seem to be posting to twitter at about 5:20ish, and then emails go out like right after that. Roughly.fl0w wrote:after 5pm central time.Encyclopedia Brown wrote:Anybody know what time the e-mails have been coming on Thursdays and Fridays?
