I got in with LSAT>25 and GPA>75, which is a reasonable admit but not a lock. Also, I have zero years of work experience (90% of the class has 1+yr. of WE).
Regardless, ya'll should keep your hopes up. Many more students are going to get admitted in the coming weeks/months.

Will clicking intend to not interview on the application hurt my chances of admission?

i think their dates for off-site and on-site interviews have passed. so only online video option remains.

I didn't interview (because on campus slots were out) and it didn't hurt me, but I am also an URM. I think if its optional its really optional though.Thelaw23 wrote:Will clicking intend to not interview on the application hurt my chances of admission?

Use your common sense. If there are 75 applicants with similar numbers to you and you are one of the 5 people with no interview info how will that reflect on you and the consideration of your softs?
If you are a URM it's a different story.

Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
is an online video interview good practice for an LS admissions interview with adcomm?
i want to apply to NW mainly to get interview practice for other potential interviews. on-campus/off-campus interview slots are no longer available this late in cycle so only online video interview remains. but if it doesn't help simulate actual adcomm interview for other LS then i'd rather not apply to NW.

From my understanding, the video interview is very different from actually talking to someone. I didn't do the video interview though, so I'm not 100% sure. But I mean, people have talked about the time limit and not being able to finish answering questions and stuff because of it.appind wrote:is an online video interview good practice for an LS admissions interview with adcomm?

In my opinion, an online video interview is NOT good practice for a LS admissions interview with an adcomm.appind wrote:is an online video interview good practice for an LS admissions interview with adcomm?

Also, I hate to be that guy, but It's NU, not NW. We're very particular about the distinction.

Not good practice. The only positive and applicable aspect to other interviews is prepping answers to potential questions they might ask, because it makes you actually think about specific instances that apply.RedPurpleBlue wrote:In my opinion, an online video interview is NOT good practice for a LS admissions interview with an adcomm.appind wrote:is an online video interview good practice for an LS admissions interview with adcomm?

I think you could probably get the same experience by looking up behavioral interview questions and saving yourselves LSAC's $30 application fee.Shakawkaw wrote:Not good practice. I'm sitting here in my suit and tie. Don't want to do this online interview. Cant even answer how i'd spend 10,00 I won at a costume party.

True, I assumed OP was trying to get the most bang for his buck with a NU app.

Sheesh, I'm jealous lol. I'm complete but not UR. I didn't do the video interview though, think my application got buried somewhere for awhile because I ended up emailing them sometime after the designated amount of days to expect to wait before going complete after interviewing and never got a response but went complete soon after, no movement since.feefeeriri wrote:I did my video interview 1/9 and went complete & under review after that on 1/11...how long did it take you guys to get a decision after the interview?
I wonder if a better indicator would be how long it normally takes for people to get a decision after going UR...

Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I don't think Northwestern has a "UR" stage on the status checker? It basically just goes complete with a line at the top of the status checker saying something like "your application is complete and under review"brinicolec wrote:Sheesh, I'm jealous lol.
