I have been UR since 10/20. The possibility of Stanford is the only thing keeping me from feeling 100 percent about where I'm attending. I kind of just want to be put out of my misery.

UR since the end of Thanksgiving. LSAT above 75th and GPA above 50th. For those of you who have seen Get Out, I currently feel like I am in the Sunken Place watching Stanford admit other people.
Just take my brain and WL me goddamnit.

Seems like its been forever since I saw some good news on here. Just the occasional "DLS. I'm out" posts. Someone give us something to celebrate!

This is my first post on here, as I just created an account several days ago. That has not, however, stopped me from neurotically lurking on these message boards in a guest status like a big ol' creeper. Anyway, good news - got the acceptance call this morning! Thought for sure it was some sort of diabolical trick. Keep hope alive, everyone!dmc1275 wrote:Seems like its been forever since I saw some good news on here. Just the occasional "DLS. Re: Stanford C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017 Cycle)
Thanks! My GPA is just below the median but my LSAT score is below the 25th percentile. App went complete on 10 January and I didn't see any "Under Review" date changes until I got the decision yesterday (not sure if that's normal). I was honestly shocked - this was a reach for me. I have some fairly interesting life experience, which is obviously what got me in. I'm happy to share through PM if anyone is interested. Good luck, all!Whittie wrote:Would you mind sharing your stats and complete date?Tiperoony wrote:This is my first post on here, as I just created an account several days ago. Edit: And I'm not Tiffany Trump! Haha...someone jokingly asked me that yesterday.

Just looked at my status checker. Thought, hmm, it's been 5 months since I went under review... Came straight here. Glad I'm among friends.theothercat wrote:I have been UR since 10/20. For those of you who would take SLS over HLS, why?
Don't say USNWR.

Re: Stanford C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017 Cycle)
Location and weather is a major factor. I love the Bay Area, I love the geography of the west coast, I love the kind, mild year round weather there, and I loathe long harsh winters, so if I had to choose between two incredible schools that will both lead me to success, quality of life is going to be a major deciding factor. I also have family that live around there, so that helps tip the scales as well. I won't have to make this choice though, got the HLS ding earlier this week!Whittie wrote:For those of you who would take SLS over HLS, why?

More interaction with faculty, easier to get a clerkship (related to the interaction), easier to get law review, ability to experience a different part of the country (I'm from the east coast), you get to know all your classmates, and the culture is supposedly very nice and noncompetitive. In short, everything is easier and there are, proportionally, more resources.Whittie wrote:For those of you who would take SLS over HLS, why?

Also take into account SLS' chiller grading system: SLS has honors/pass; HLS has high honors/honors/pass, which makes HLS more stressful/competitive academicallyayylmao wrote:More interaction with faculty, easier to get a clerkship (related to the interaction), easier to get law review, ability to experience a different part of the country (I'm from the east coast), you get to know all your classmates, and the culture is supposedly very nice and noncompetitive.
