[quote="3pianists"]^^^^^ Speaking of which, here's a text conversation (from a while ago, but I just ran across the screenshot I took) about my Vandy scholarship application. Note: I ended up making the adult choice and cutting this line. But I wasn't happy about it.

hahahaha thats hilarious.

eek! decision mailed!

edit: email received about 20 minutes after noticing the status change. flat out denied. oh well. thanks for taking 16.5 weeks to reject me.

Just over 13 weeks here. Since this is taking so long, not looking good for scholarship money which means is going to be awfully tough to justify attendance. Now, I'd just like to get in for the confidence boost :)

Like... it's the only one left I'm waiting on... what could possibly be taking so long?? Especially if it's a rejection letter ugh

So has everyone also been emailed the decision ? Or is it just applications that have been admitted as of lately ?

This wait is making me hate Vanderbilt. Hire another admissions officer already, god knows they don't need any special skills or training.

I've got crickets on my end. This unnecessarily long wait, especially when a waitlist or denial was fairly certain for me, makes me wonder what is going on in their office. Vanderbilt was my reach and now it is an afterthought!

A waitlist isn't a no :)

Would it be correct to assume that since we, all of us who have been waiting for 8+ weeks, have now a lower chance of being accepted? Since Vanderbilt has accepted so many student already, especially the students that the school really wanted or were great for their medians. I understand that there are waves, but is it that as the waves progress into the year, the accepted students make up less and less percentage wise?

Really thought today was going to be the day. 12 weeks to the day since I went complete, last day of March, it would have been the perfect day for a decision. Damn you Vandy you're really going to take it down to the wire with me aren't you?

I feel like that is typically the case- but as deposit deadlines approach and people drop off there will be openings!

April 1 is the last day that Vandy accepts applications.

It is right there on the Vandy website under the Admissions tab: "Apply online between September 1 and April 1."

Read the language carefully on the Vandy website under the heading "Selection Process." It states that they take a lot of time reviewing apps and comparing those submitted at different points in time throughout the process despite having rolling admissions. It states that "applicants who take the Dec. or Feb. LSAT are not disadvantaged." Since April 1 was the final day to submit apps, they are likely looking at late submissions from those who took the Feb. LSAT. They are also likely tweaking their entering class acceptances so they have a diverse well rounded class made up of students from all over the country. Check out the profile of the Class of 2018 on the website to get an idea. Expect that more acceptances and rejections will be sent out in the upcoming weeks. Sometimes people don't get off the WL until August. That is how they roll.

Get out of here with your logic, patience, and reason. It has no place alongside my irrational belief that every law school is a dick for not getting back to me already.

10 weeks of silence.

I've been hearing more and more about Texas, Vandy, UCLA aggressively attempting to move into the T14 ranks, I suppose forming the T17... Any reason to pay sticker or close to it at one of these schools?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
