Not to be a downer, but last year's waitlist thread goes silent 5 pages after the 2nd round of May JS2s (what we saw today) finished up. The end is nigh.
So how are we feeling about a potential JS1 wave for this week?
Based only on the pole, it seems like we are at about 26 acceptances out of 110 votes. Do we even think there are spots left for a JS1 wave?

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
I meant two js1 waves which suggests that we will have another in the coming week or so. However, i think using last years cycle to make predictions about this years is not very sound because the nature of the waitlist makes it very unpredictable which suggests that the procedure the admissions office takes will also be more unpredictable. I think that yesterday's js2 wave was likely roll over from the first wave but i dont think that implies that a second wave will happenMajinBuu wrote:

You don't think that implies a second wave of JS2s or a second wave of JS1s? Sorry, just to clarify...

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
either; I'm saying that we cannot make predictions about the waitlist with any real accuracy. We dont have the proper information (i.e. analogies to last years cycle are inappropriate because the level to which this year's waitlist compares to last year's is indeterminate)tfarunner wrote:The thinker wrote:I meant two js1 waves which suggests that we will have another in the coming week or so. I agree with all the caveats regarding historical expectations voiced ITT. Still I don't think it's looking good for those of us still waiting.

I want to believe that this cycle is more similar to the 2012 cycle. That more JS1 are on the way.

It is truly nearing the end.
Hope at least 50 more and wishing to be one of them.

Take heart, there's always next cycle. Mack is proof that trying again is not a fool's errand.Hikari wrote:Mack.Hambleton wrote:~20 something people were added to the fb group

When I check, the calendar doesn't show up. Don't know if that's an error with my browser, URL, or whatever.Hikari wrote:Can someone please check of interview slots are available?
Congrats to all who've gotten in!! Losing hope here, but will probably stick around until the beginning of July since I can't get an apartment earlier anyway. Will definitely keep checking this thread, hope it doesn't die out too soon.

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
Fairly recent lurker here. Got a JS2 yesterday! I do have a number of years of work experience (5+), but wanted to share because I'm basically at both 25 percentile marks. It IS possible to get in off the WL even without having stats at the median or above!
I was a post-WL JS1 (interview 5/14), JS2 yesterday, accepted officially this morning. Non-URM with 5+ years work experience. PM me if you have any specific questions.

Exactly the same boat. And honestly, I'm so excited to be in the city if I do get into H it's going to be a bit bittersweet.universityof wrote:+1. Weird feeling trying to balance being hopeful about harvard and perfectly happy with NYUw0w wrote:
