WL today via email. UR2 12/17 and wrote a Why Penn. Out of my top five or six choices, Philly is one of the least likely destinations for me, plus I already have some other great options. Still, the more I learned about Penn Law, the more I liked it. I will soon decide whether or not to write a LOCI or withdraw. PM if you want more info/stats.

It almost seems as if they take the high-quality end of their pool and WL much of it, expecting us to come back if we have a bad cycle and are likely to accept the offer; of course, this is me applying that fixed GPA-LSAT-WE paradigm to the whole mess...

Fortunately, it looks like many CCN decisions will be out before the WL enrollment deadline swings around; may make it easier for some of us to decide.

What's the logic behind waitlisting over 300 people when they only anticipate accepting 20 or so? It almost seems they're using it as a soft rejection.
