Sorry if this has been discussed already, but what's the consensus on interviews? Have virtually all admits been asked to interview? Submitted 1/1, radio silence since. . .

There's a consensus on interviews a few pages back. It's before admits started, but not much before that.

I thought the consensus was that interviews are for borderline candidates, borderline scholarship candidates (but definite admits), and candidates for whom the AdComms have some questions... but I might be wrong. I was admitted without an interview at the end of January and I know a few others who were admitted without interviews, and none of us has gotten named scholarships or anything. So I think Columbia interview is very different from, say, UChicago or Harvard interviews, which seem to be pretty much a necessary condition for admission.

I was admitted without an interview at the end of January and I know a few others who were admitted without interviews, and none of us has gotten named scholarships or anything. So I think Columbia interview is very different from, say, UChicago or Harvard interviews, which seem to be pretty much a necessary condition for admission.

Yeah I'm an international student, and international students are assigned a different LSAC evaluation (not a numerical GPA) to US/Canadian undergrads!

I think so long as you don't post exact stats or specific information--keeping most identifying stuff to PM you should be fine. IDK. Too much to worry about.

Being outed in itself isn't necessarily a problem; it only matters when you've badmouthed schools, posted embarrassing stuff, etc. So if your posting history is boring, you don't have to worry!
