I already read through -- it seems that people who have reported on TLS thus far submitted their apps by the official 2/28 deadline.
I seem to remember people who submitted/went complete in March who already got rejected. Let me see if I can find them.

On page 35 there are 3/10 and 3/11 completes who got dinged, but I'm not sure when they applied.

ETA: well, I checked the spreadsheet and there is someone who applied 2/28 and went complete 3/11, so you may be correct -- perhaps no one who applied after the extended deadline has received a decision yet.

Thanks! My complete date is later in March, so I have a suspicion that I've only escaped being dinged because they hadn't gotten to mine in time for the last round.

ETA: Good luck to all still waiting :)

I believe it is email unless you are in Canada. But I could be wrong.

In a way I hate the twitter feed. Friday and Saturday I was hopped up and jumpy until the "that's it" tweets. While I tangibly relax when the ending tweet comes, which is a relief, the jumpiness of knowing it COULD happen for the preceding hours is torture.

LSN doesn't have that many reported acceptances from the last few days, it seems. So I don't actually have a good sense of how many of these calls are going out.

I got my ding letter from Stanford today. At least only one of the HYS triad is currently making me sweat

Congrats! Only one I've seen reported from last night's calls so far. I would definitely bet that that round was the last batch of end of the cycle submitters to come back from FR, and that they'll now start deciding how many 11s and 10s to accept or WL.

Edited for clarity

Seems right to me based on the numbers from last year––last year it looks like most early applicants left at this point were WL, but it probably depends on how many offers have already been extended, so it could go either way.

Good luck!

I have to start trying to think realistically at this point after having a hugely inflated sense of false hope after the ding wave went out and missed me. I was a mid-February completer and haven't gotten the call. I'm certain I went to FR because I think all the auto-dings went out last week, but the hope ends there.

It's hard to say, but is there reason to suspect that the late completes (later than Feb 14) who went through FR and received 6's through 10's have gotten ding emails yet? Obviously we can't say for sure, but I'm somewhat inclined to think that late-complete FR dings are not sent out yet. Anyone disagree/have reason to think otherwise? I have been wrong before

IIRC, there was a small-ish ding wave last year for people who applied after Jan and seemingly made it to FR that occurred shortly before the waitlist came out.

I think that's probably right. I'm certain that not all of the late-complete FR dings have already been sent out.

They've been pretty transparent with the process (described in detail in the blog, except for how they select which 11s to admit/WL...) and with the timing of acceptances (tweeting the "beginning" and "end" points of calls), but it would be pretty awesome if they combined the two (i.e. by addressing all the above questions about where we are in the process explicitly). They're so close to complete and open disclosure, just one more step!

The best final step would be just letting us know if we're in or not already.

I would hope this is the case. I would guess that they have around 30-40 admit calls left based on the facebook, reports here and on LSN? I also guess that they will finish deliberation and wrap up [almost all] admit calls by Thursday or Friday. That seems to track with the historic info and makes sense based on the fact that admitted students weekend starts a week from Thursday. Thoughts?

It's going to be a long rest of the week...

Judging by last year, they should be done this week.

However, judging by this tweet:
https://twitter.com/ylsadmissions/statu ... 5545543680

They will still be going all next week as well...

Speculation alert: That's because last year, ASW was April 10-11 and they wanted to hand out decisions before then. This year it is 4/16-18 so timeline will be pushed back a bit.

The embargo on my application should now be lifted per superstition. I'm supposed to go to a symposium in Chicago next week, but I was stalling on buying my flights until I had word from Yale because the symposium is the same two days as ASW. The superstitious part of me figured that if I bought the tickets, then I'd get in, and have to cancel the trip and be out $400, but that if I didn't buy the tickets it would be presumptuous and worthy of bad karma, and so I wouldn't get in.

After not getting a call in the last few days, I decided I'm probably a late-FR ding and so I booked my flights this morning.
