The email from "law-admissions@uiowa.edu" just ripped my heart out, threw it up in the air, and let if fall back to the ground.
(But at least I'm not being dramatic!)

Long time lurker, first time poster. Just wanted to gauge how my fellow EDers are feeling about this ridiculous wait from CLS. I feel like my optimism diminishes every day that passes without a decision. What's everyone else thinkin?

Another long time lurker/first time poster. Just thought that I would join in on all the angst in this thread
Seriously though, you people have kept me sane through this process when I am pretty sure all my friends and family were conspiring to tie me up and lock me in a closet until August if I didn't stop bugging them about law school decisions and status checkers.
I am RD so I am not expecting a response any time soon but this wait time is absolutely insane. Here's hoping that we all here back by January!
Good luck to all the EDers! I am rooting for you all to be admitted!

Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I feel the same way. I thought the anxiety last month was a little ridiculous, because of CLS's track record for late decisions, but now the reality of each day without word crushes my hope a little more. But at least there were some people who were admitted ED in January last year, and some people who were deferred were admitted RD. I'm also hoping that even if CLS doesn't admit me, NYU will.the_one_who_knocks wrote:Long time lurker, first time poster. Does anyone more gifted in statistics/trends than I am have any idea what the acceptance, deferral, and rejection rates are for CLS EDers? I've looked through the threads on here and the profiles on LSN, but I also know these are highly unrepresentative samples.

If you're deferred until April does that mean that they will begin reviewing your application in April or that you are just part of the RD cycle and the latest they will send you a letter is April? And is it best to send in an LOCI?

I already PMed you, but in case anyone else is interested, I'm just barely above the 25th percentile. Here's hoping this goes well for both of us!abdistotle wrote: Are you below, at, or above columbias 25th gpa, lsat twin? I pmed you if you're willing to tell and ud rather tell me in private

Hahaha, if I get in, I'll see you next year! (I'll be the one standing in front of the law school in wide-eyed amazement, saying to myself, "I don't belong! I don't belong!")abdistotle wrote:+1!... Anyone know if anything at all will happen today or is the thought too optimistic?
