Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
I received an email that Vandy received my application on 2/26 and another saying I went complete this morning, but the VLS still isn't working for me. I put my LSAC number in and it's still behaving as if I didn't apply. Anyone know how long it takes for the status to be checkable? I feel like it should be by now considering I went complete...

It takes about a week or so for you to be entered into the system.GoldHattedGatsby wrote:I received an email that Vandy received my application on 2/26 and another saying I went complete this morning, but the VLS still isn't working for me. I'm in the same boat. I'm leaving today and am gone until late Sunday so I'm going to be calling my friend to check it for me. *fingers crossed*StillIll wrote:C'mon $$$$$ tomorrow!!! ... of course I'll be on a plane to a wedding tomorrow afternoon and won't know my fate until Monday when I get back... unless I get desperate and have a friend come check for me..... which I probably will! hah

Here is a map of USPS service standards (sorry for the huge pic--no idea how to make it smaller). I'm just barely in the 2 day color, but if no one has heard back yet they probably didn't get them out until yesterday which means it will be tomorrow for me. Hopefully some TN people can report back today!

Hahaha wow, major kudos for pulling up that map.
If you're a 2 dayer and don't hear today, does that mean us 3 dayers wait until Monday? jeezey petes.

Yup, seems that way if this map is correct. That's rough.StillIll wrote:Hahaha wow, major kudos for pulling up that map.

Maybe ya'll can try calling them, especially if you're headed out of town for a while? I know a few other schools don't mind relaying information over the phone.ALgooner wrote:Yup, seems that way if this map is correct. That's rough.StillIll wrote:Hahaha wow, major kudos for pulling up that map.

They're going to have to do a lot better than that 75K if they want to maintain medians. We shall see.

From what I can see in past LSN profiles (which isn't completely accurate but it's all we have), Vandy has never been really big on throwing cash around.BigZuck wrote:They're going to have to do a lot better than that 75K if they want to maintain medians. We shall see.

FREAKING OUT!
Complete: 11/27
Decision Mailed: 2/26
I'm sure these have already been answered, but I'm going to go ahead and ask them anyways.
1) If you get an acceptance box, is the black box inside a regular brown shipping box? Or is the outside of the package black? (I'm considering going down to the mail center and seeing if there is a black box because they take forever to sort the mail!)
2) If you get a rejection/waitlist, is it in a regular size envelope? Or is it an oversized envelope??
Thanks in advance!!

On LSN they are the most generous of the UCLA/USC/Vandy/UT subset from what I've seen and they will need to be even more so if they want to maintain this cycle IMO. Throwing 75K at numbers that get 65K at Duke won't cut it IMO.danitt wrote:From what I can see in past LSN profiles (which isn't completely accurate but it's all we have), Vandy has never been really big on throwing cash around.BigZuck wrote:They're going to have to do a lot better than that 75K if they want to maintain medians. You get a FedEx box if you're accepted and it comes two day shipping.lani716 wrote:FREAKING OUT!

ANd Texas has been pretty generous this cycle as well which Vandy definitely needs to consider.BigZuck wrote:On LSN they are the most generous of the UCLA/USC/Vandy/UT subset from what I've seen and they will need to be even more so if they want to maintain this cycle IMO. The great city (not really) of Salt Lake City. Yeah I'm about to board a plane in thirty minutes but I called home and my bro got it before he left himself and called me.danitt wrote:Where are you located?StillIll wrote:75k!!!!! Whoop.
