Well had my call.

It went really well. We did discuss some things on my resume and about how my personal and diversity statements were well received. Also got the Why UVA q


At the end I was told that my application was in committee and that I would hopefully hear back before christmas or maybe right around the new year.

I cannot lie and say I am not extremely bummed about not getting an offer like the others who had scheduled calls today.....

Just had my call, and it was definitely a "chat" rather than an interview! Basically it lasted less than five minutes, and he didn't ask me anything. He just wanted to tell me I'm in! He said a letter will come soon with scholarship info but it will likely be "around $25,000 per year"... super excited!

I guess they weren't making any calls today, and I don't think they will next week either because of the holidays... Do you all think the next round of notices will come out after the new year?

I think the odds for me are that I'll be waitlisted at best, probably an auto-reject, but I'd rather just know already!! The suspense is killing me because I've been complete since the first week of October... and under review for what seems likes weeks now.

I'm right there with ya. At this point I'm hoping they are just waiting for the December LSAT to come back to confirm that applications (with high-ish LSATs) are down this cycle. Then they will just admit all of us from earlier!

Either that or it's a ding that will come out the first week of January.

And defdef, I'm not sure about how to find out the exact date of going complete, I just noticed when my header in the status checker changed to that sentence about being complete and in review.
