I'm right there with you guys, waiting for a JS1/KB1. I think I lost half my hair, and the other half turned gray.

Y'all I gave up last week.
Like I thought it was over.
Seriously, until they send the "we've taken you off the waitlist" email, you're still in contention.

Also does anyone want to count how many people on TLS got in off the WL in previous years (per cycle)...think of it as a WL project

It has been A LOT lower (in the 10-12 range). I went back the last three years on LSN and it was consistently in the 12-16 range in total.sharktankdean wrote:imagine if we all get in...CCN down will be PISSED lolDoorkeeper wrote:Congrats!larsoner wrote:KB1! Hands are shaking.

Right. That's what I'm saying. In total, it has been around 12-16 (+/- 1 or 2) per cycle for the past 3 cycles.sharktankdean wrote:but didn't the 2011 group have 16 in the first wave....i was referring to all waves per cycle.Doorkeeper wrote:It has been A LOT lower (in the 10-12 range). Re: Harvard Waitlist 2012
21 so far.
15 JS1s earlier
3 KB1s last week
3 KB1s now (lawschoolproject, JDflowergirl's boyfriend, and larsoner)
Congratulations!
Out of maybe 90-100 TLS WLs (form + estimate of lurkers) and who knows how many total WLs
*Note that 2 of the 21 are not TLS users, it seems

I think there is evidence that they're moving down the numbers chain.
New plan: all JS1ers waiting for JS2s form a coalition and call the admissions office offering all or none. Today. Take it or leave it.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2012
1. I really think it might just be that suddenly more people use TLS this year so we get more TLS numbers, but I could be wrong. Are there more posters this year?
2. If these 2 weeks were really one wave and if they're gonna send out JS2s on Thu/Fri, then today is really the last day to expect a JS1/KB1 for this wave (unless they still interview for Thursday, in which case there is still hope tomorrow).
3. Kill me right now.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2012
Last year there were about 100 people on the waitlist report form. This year there's about 70, but there are a lot of non-reporters (like me). If anything this year's TLS contingent of waitlisted people would be smaller, if we go by the numbers. But whether the 2012 WL is smaller or not, there are many more reported JS1/KB1s (21) in the initial wave than in previous years (last year's 12 JR1s?).ftw wrote:1. The increased number of people in Harvard's initial WL--->JS1/KB1 wave could be the result of more Yale WL-admits this year than last year (0-2 then vs 5-10 now).

Thanks

2010 Waitlist
People given JR1s = 18
JR1s that turned into combo JR2s = 18
2011 Waitlist
People given JR1s= 21
People given JR2s=18
Numbers could be off, but this is what I found.

If there are more reporters this year, it's because we're running a month later and even patient people are going crazy

Unfortunately, I stalked them. One for sure posted that he/she didn't get in. One enrolled at Howard and one never posted again...
So I'm going to assume that they did not make it.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2012
Some people didn't say "yes" when JR asked if they would attend if admitted off the WL.
(According to one poster on our thread who admitted doing that and one current HLS student who posted to warn about not saying "yes").
