How many true freshmen do you plan on starting? Recruits for this year don't really matter for like 2-3.longhorns89 wrote:Not with our new recruits.wvuchip wrote:Dinged. I'll content myself with giving Texas a whipping in football this season!

I was looking forward to 3 more years of primo Horns tickets, but got the not so unexpected axe today via email. Guess I will have to count on my brother for some guest tickets.longhorns89 wrote:Not with our new recruits.wvuchip wrote:Dinged. I'm planning on attending, but it's looking like I probably won't be attending UT as scholarship offer is most likely not happening. Great school, buuuut not paying sticker.eaper wrote:Who all is planning on going to ASW? (Sorry for the dings, guy=\)

I most likely will be, although I might just go visit on my own. I'm pretty set on UT after being held/wait listed at UCLA and Northwestern.Rawlberto wrote:I'm planning on attending, but it's looking like I probably won't be attending UT as scholarship offer is most likely not happening. I know it's really hard to get off of it - I think two years ago they did not let anyone off of it. I'm going to try but I'm not optimistic.unlicensedpotato wrote:Waitlisted with 3.48/171 OOS

I think this year will be different for all schools. They are so uncertain that they are probably making way less initial offers than normal and will rely heavily on waitlists.

Note the key words "I think" and "probably". Purely speculation. However, its.plausible given that applications are down, lots of schools changed their decision patterns drastically from previous years, etc.
I do think schools will use the waitlist more this year unlike my initial cycle when some made no offers because they were over enrolled.

Actually I was more interested in hearing about "They are so uncertain...". I heard applications went down significantly this year but I didn't think it was really that bad. Either way I hope you're right haha. It's better than a ding but it's definitely not fun being on the waitlist.Magnifique1908 wrote:Note the key words "I think" and "probably". Purely speculation.
