Ya, Taco Cabana (fast food Mexican restaurant in Texas) has better Mexican food than majority of places I've eaten at in Florida. Missed my chance to go to the Salt Lick last time I was in Texas, supposed to be pretty amazing bbq. Austin is a cool place, has a nice atmosphere, but I was really surprised by how many good eats are in San Antonio.seancris wrote:And BBQ. Do you mean tijuana? That place is good. But for real, I think Gville does lack in Mexican food. We just have the basic chains and then a few restaurants that I don't find that exciting.jlz111 wrote:Tortilla Flats is amazing in UF
Austin has kickass Tex-Mex. I though Taco Cabana was delicious, and it doesn't even hold a candle to most of the other places there.

Haha. I'll take that as a not-so-subtle way of telling me i'm an idiot. Be that as it may, normal law schools have waitlisted me, giving me the satisfaction of knowing my status, but essentially granting the same result for the admissions office - delaying an ultimate decision. Why does Florida feel the need to be different?LSATmakesMeNeurotic wrote:Your numbers explain why it took 5 months.genius5432 wrote:Ditto. Dings, WLs and late admits came out in late march/april from UF pretty consistently over the past two cycles. Being significantly below both medians and a non-urm. You would've anticipated a decision at this time if you had done your research.genius5432 wrote:Haha. I'll take that as a not-so-subtle way of telling me i'm an idiot. I'll agree that UF has one of the worst admissions processes in the country, though. The lack of communication from the other side over the course of what urns out to be months for most applicants is pretty stunning. Other schools tell you the date/time of your decision and get back to you within a few weeks regardless of your numbers. Even down to the "decision reached" status update rather than an "admit" or "ding" update. It's all very inconsiderate on their part and reflects poorly on my alma mater.

Sorry, that was a bitchy comment. I interpreted your post as one of entitlement (ie: I deserve a decision sooner than the five months it took them), and got irritated. It's been a rough day.genius5432 wrote:Haha. I'll take that as a not-so-subtle way of telling me i'm an idiot.
