Quick question. When you look at myaccess and you look at "satisfied requirements" is need access supposed to show up? Only FAFSA and the Yellow Form are showing up.

I'm abroad and dealing with terrible internet. I'm just paranoid that they never received my need access form.

Has everyone who filled out the yellow form by the deadline received financial aid info already? I still haven't gotten anything and I filled it out as soon as it was ready...

I filled mine out before the deadline and have not gotten anything from Georgetown. The myaccess did say that I needed to do entrance counseling for loans. So, I guess that I am going to get a ton of loans?

Fun...

I've heard nothing (and didn't get the email about scholarships to begin with). I'm not very hopeful.

Is anyone going to the admit days next week?

Where are you guys staying? Is there some kind of travel reimbursement? I just got in last week, so I'm wondering if I missed something.

Traveling from southern California and not familiar with DC at all, so any advice on where to stay would also be greatly appreciated.

No travel reimbursement, no provided housing. :? All info possible is on the ASW.

Can't make it to the ASW this week so I visited DC this weekend. Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Regency for $115 with tax. It was about a mile walk to the law school. They also let me check in early with no additional charge. There is a garage under the hotel $30 for 24 hours.

really sad I can't make the ASW this week, but I'll be at the ASD in LA on April 3rd. Anyone else planning on going?

Considering it. Seems like a fancy place for an alumn/admissions panel. I'm hoping there'll be dinner, or at least hors d'oeuvres.

so i noticed my myaccess is updated under financial aid/student requirements asking for my and my parent's tax returns, w-2s etc... since this is only required if you receive the dean's tuition grant, i wonder if some need-based aid is on its way? my award information is "not available"

also, does it make any difference whether i waive my dean's certification?

I just got this e-mail last week:

"I am writing today to give you an update on the scholarship process at Georgetown Law. We appreciate you letting us know that you?d like to be considered for merit funding at Georgetown.

As I mentioned in my previous email to you, the Scholarship Committee is very interested in using our funds as wisely as possible to assist those students who are genuinely interested in coming to Georgetown. It sounds like you may still be waiting to hear back from other schools to get a clearer picture of the options before you, which is, of course, perfectly reasonable.

Rather than continue to go back and forth with changing circumstances, we think it might be best for you to come back to us when you feel you have a better sense of your options and offers and, with more of the information in front of you, let us know how much you think it will take to make it possible for you to join us at Georgetown.

As always, if you have any questions at all about scholarships or anything else, please contact us at hotline@law.georgetown.edu. And I hope to hear back from you with news in the not too distant future."

I know others have gotten this e-mail before. To those who did, did you respond? How? What was GULC's response?

Advice is welcome from people who did not get this e-mail as well. Thanks!

The admitted students event is tomorrow. Is anyone going? What are your plans for the time before the welcome stuff? Bus tour? Sit in on classes?

I'm doing the bus tour, but I haven't heard anyone else talking about doing it.

Just got an e-mail that my finaid package is ready, unfortunately GULCs stupid password rules made me generate a password that I cannot remember.

Look on the ASW--you've got a temporary password.

Edit: PMing you the details.
