I genuinely appreciate it!Fate wrote:I was accepted at Texas 3 weeks after I submitted my application (I submitted in mid-November)...I've withdrawn to give others who really want to go there a chance (I've been accepted at multiple T14s).
I hope someone from TLS gets in!

For all of you who are in, will you tell me if your status checker changed before the phone call or if it has changed after some time? Also, congrats to you guys!

I submitted my app on 1/12 and got an email on 1/13 saying I would be notified when my application went complete. I'm guessing they will send me my status checker info at this time?

Glad to hear this. Now I don't have to bother checking my UT status.

Mine has not change. I'm so used to seeing "processed on.... is currently under consideration for Regular Decision."

Thanks for the replies. If you all could let me know when/if it does change. I'd rather know online than by post, if I'm rejected.
Not sure why.

Please call today, Texas.
Oh! now I'm going to find her, for my heart is full of woe,
And we'll sing the song together, that we sung so long ago;
We'll play the banjo gaily, and we'll sing the songs of yore,
And the yellow rose of Texas shall be mine for evermore.
Oh! now I'm going to find her, for my heart is full of woe,
And we'll sing the song together, that we sung so long ago;
We'll play the banjo gaily, and we'll sing the songs of yore,
And the yellow rose of Texas shall be mine for evermore.

I think I'm gonna need more than crossed fingers. Crossed toes might do it, though.

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
I can't believe I STILL haven't heard anything, even though I was an ED app from 10/20. Anyone have any theories about this? I sent a LOCI subtly remind them that I was surely due a decision and they said, "Thank you for your letter of continued interest." Nothing.

So on the phone Sam Riley didn't mention a scholarship (not that I really let him because I was saying stupid stuff like "hooray!")...does this mean I didn't get one?

Do scholarship letters notification over the phone only come from Dean Ingram?

Purely my anecdotal evidence, but I got a scholly and my admit call was from Dean Ingram.neonx wrote:Do scholarship letters notification over the phone only come from Dean Ingram?

I got in a few months back, but Dean Ingram didn't mention a scholarship in the voicemail she left me. Then I got a nice surprise $76,500 in the mail. Your numbers are better than mine, so you stand an insane shot at a lot of money. Congrats on getting in!akili wrote:So on the phone Sam Riley didn't mention a scholarship (not that I really let him because I was saying stupid stuff like "hooray!")...does this mean I didn't get one?

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
Because other people were curious, when Dean Ingram called to say that I'd been accepted, she said scholarship info would come in the mail. I got the admitted students package in the mail today and there was nothing in there about it BUT my package was open. So I called to ask if it was supposed to be in there or not and she said that the Financial Aid office sends those out separately and it usually comes 1-2 weeks later.

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
Keep in mind that the $78500 figure is typically for OOS students only. I thought I was gonna get that as an in-state student and when combined with $90k total in state tuition that was gonna be a helluva a deal but i ended up getting about 1/3 scholly (roughly $10k per year) in the end. No complaints, it just took me a while to realize I was reading LSN wrong.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
