I applied on January 13th, so I was a little late to the game. I'm guessing it has something to do with that.

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you've been admitted to UNC the new admitted student's page is up! https://admitted.law.unc.edu/default.aspx There's a lot of information on the site and more is being added all the time, and there's even a page where students blog about their experiences and will respond to your questions.

"[Poster] thank you for your continued interest in Carolina Law School. We will have our first round of admit decisions rendered by April 1, 2011 and all complete files will have a decision by May 1, 2011. We sincerely appreciate your patience during this time. If you'd like to talk with us about your file - give us a call. We'd be more than happy to speak with you."

That's so, so late-- my opinion is that decisions should go out in time for ASD. I was admitted back around Feb 1, not sure where the "first round of admit decisions" phrase comes into play there. Anyway, I wonder why they are making such late decisions?? Are they having difficulties processing this year? April 1 is when deposits are due at many schools, so if some people have to wait until after April 1 for a decision they could be losing their deposit money somewhere else if they choose to attend UNC.

EDIT: I'm still holding out for the scholarship email. Once I hear either way I'll put in my deposit. Anyone heard yet? I know it's getting close to the 10 day mark so I wasn't sure if I just didn't get one or if everyone's still waiting.

Maybe it's fair to start asking if the "third wave" of acceptances came and went without anyone speaking up? I cannot believe it's taken this long, if there really is another group coming.

... This waiting game has been a test of will... I'm starting to believe there will never be another round of acceptances... either that or UNC Law does not actually exist.
