Got my acceptance packet today. Nice note from Dean Z too, she said my personal statement was excellent. Does she write that for everyone?

I think she writes something for everyone, but it might vary with each applicant a bit.

What'd she write on yours?

She wrote about a program I mentioned in my Why Mich & another clinic they have that I might be interested in.

She thanked me for my TFA service-- so has every other school. Damn, good thing I did it, apparently nothing else about me is impressive, lol

My message was super generic. Something like "You are an excellent candidate. We'd love to have you". Probably because I didn't really indicate any specific interests in either my ps or why essay.

First post ever -- in at Michigan! Got my package in the mail yesterday. I was too excited to read the offer letter all the way through until this morning. As others have mentioned, there was a hand-written note at the bottom of my letter. It's those little personalized touches that make all the difference.

Thanks! Congrats to you, too. I'm heading over to my mom's place later today to show her the video. She's a native Michigander (as am I, though I've been away for years), and getting into the U of M is a huge deal to her and the rest of my family.

Goodness. I have the same stats as someone who has been accepted and has a profile on there, I am a URM and my numbers twin on there is not (or has not indicated that they are), and I'm still at Complete (for almost a month now...).

Holy crap. I just got in via admitted students website. I am definitely lightheaded. Haha, I didn't realize I would be so excited.

I had just checked the AS site yesterday, and did not succeed; knowing that they can tell when you check, I almost didn't check again today... so glad I did.

Stats are 3.69, 171 (retake from a 163), WE in public interest (and PS about the same). Submitted 10/26, Complete 11/8.
