I didn't get anything after the initial application until about a week later. Then I had to complete a couple more things and submit the application fee. A few more days after that I got an email showing me how to check my status online.

12k/year, above both 75s. Doesn't seem like they're big on handing out $

If you don't mind me asking, were they generous with the scholly offer? I'm waiting on that still. I did undergrad at UF so I wouldn't mind staying but would like a good reason to not go to UGA or bama.

Because you would be betraying the Gator Nation, and because UGA sucks for Florida compared to UF grads, if you ever come back, which you should. Also, about that second "school" you named. Fuck em.

hahaha I totally get that. I'm a third generation Gator and one of the biggest fans you'll meet. I would be a third generation UF Law grad too...Those other schools have just given me a lot of scholarship offers and I haven't heard from UF yet. It would be extremely hard to go somewhere else, but I'm also apprehensive about living in Gainesville for 7 years...[/quote]

I also don't want to be in Gainesville for another 3 years. However, the cost for in state makes it hard to turn away. When/if you and I get in, those other offers won't seem so hot.

Sorry to cause issues here but that "school" is a higher ranked law school than Levin. Just saying. That being said, Levin is a great law school and I would love to go to either of them but I hate how Alabama is so downplayed....and, yes, this is coming from a UF UG who transferred to Bama. hahaha so I'm a tad biased.

I have a meeting with Dean Adorno at the end of the month and will be taking a tour of campus as well.. anyone have any good ideas as to what questions I should be asking? Obviously job placement will be #1 on my list but I'm trying to brainstorm what else I should be asking.

Lizzy, even with all my "bama is cool too" ravings, if you're seeking job placement in Florida, unless you have great connections in the legal field and maybe even then...., UF is probably the best bet over the other schools.

Haha. Well, good luck with the decision. Atleast you know you're going to a great school no matter where you actually go given your list of choices.

I am in a similar place as far as wanting to work in Florida. I also applied to W &M but haven't heard back yet. Do you mind if I ask you your numbers gator?

either way it is great to currently be a Florida Gator

Most believe it is a WL or hold. I called, they pretty much said it wasn't. Either way, just sort of hanging out right now.

I think its more of a Hold for right now. Most schools are letting in people who are above one 75%pctile or another (or both), they eventually have to let people in with decent but no auto admit numbers, otherwise you wouldnt see their medians so much lower than who they are admitting right now.

Okay so I finally got the email confirming UF received my application...and of courae I heard about the $30 dollar fee, but then comes the "supplemental information"...so I'm assuming this is just one quick little information sheet I can quickly fill out and get processed, but its basically a whole other application!?!? I'm an undergrad so you would think they would have all this information saved already!! Only reason I'm venting is because I'm stuck at work till 4, so there's no way I can do something that detailed in my managers office, which means I won't get my application processed and complete another day

...oh well

Got scholarship notice in the mail yesterday, a few weeks after being accepted. $18k total for $6k/year. Not a huge amount, but still grateful.

I'm visiting Illinois starting tomorrow. If I hate it for some reason, it'll be between FSU and UF (FSU offered me 20k). So, its pretty high on my list. I'll know probably by Saturday.
