My results are too typical to post ITT, but economically centrist much to the chagrin of my roommates who all claim to be hardline R's.

Now back to being the blue(ish) outlier in a red state!

Law seems to be a fairly conservative profession. Seems odd that we are mostly liberals. Then again young people tend to be liberal.

I've heard that lawyers are, in general, skewed liberal.

Not really sure why that is. Possibly correlation with higher education in general, initial drive to help people, at the very least a distrust of the state that drives a libertarian slant

a few hundred thousand in debt and a job in biglaw might affect one's opinions about progressive income taxes

True that. As I inch closer to 30 I can feel I'm lurching more and more towards becoming a NeoCon 2.0.

wow, the closer i get to 30, the more i'm wondering why we aren't all living in a commune, and why our state refuses to afford healthcare to its people, and why college-graduate peers continue to complain about their taxes

Most of my views have grown a little more moderate, or at least indifferent to how other people would prefer to do things, so long as they leave room for me to approach my life as I see fit, as I've gotten older. That said, I was still a little surprised to see how heavily the quiz labeled me a centrist on a number of issues, although that may also be because a lot of the questions felt a little poorly worded, or left insufficient room for nuance.

Probably because communal decision making doesn't deal with human nature very well, any government that gets in a protracted land war with market forces ends up losing it, and because nobody actually likes paying taxes (esp. those folks with $200k in loans who see the tax bill on their $180k salary).

Haha yeah, me too...I'm getting more liberal as I age. Although, tbf, I'm not very close to 30 yet (only 25 here).

I do sometimes wonder what it is that will be a bridge too far for me.

I hope there isn't but I think I will reach an age and an inability to accept new ideas where something will be too progressive, and I'm increasingly curious what that is.

On the other hand I think I'm getting more socially liberal every day/year so who knows.

Our young liberal mindsets today could be the conservative ideals in 60 years

My results. I'm not a fan of the broad generalization questions though

I'm incredibly libertarian on economics but also very liberal on social policy (though I think "socially liberal" just means socially libertarian) so I'm always disagreeing with someone on something. sucks to be in a super minority :?

I am correct in thinking that a commitment to a school isn't due until their second seat deadline, correct?
