Ha! In all seriousness, really stoked that WAshU stepped it up and made it rain on a bunch of TLSers. You're gonna have a grrrrreat class!

Also, I am pretty excited for Missouri's more lax alcohol laws compared to where I am now. Particularly with liquor in non-speciality stores, stronger liquor (everclear), 30 packs, and forties - all of which are illegal where am now, but abundant in MO.

never knew party central was so strict on alcohol. Maybe it's the old and grumpy retirees who pushed for this law ..

Missouri is the real land of the free. 24 hours of whatever kind of booze strikes your fancy and the most relaxed open container laws that I have ever encountered.

This is gonna be so different from my 3.2 beer, no liquor after 9 or on Sundays state I'm in now. (Most people have never even heard of 3.2 beer :( )

Arkansas: No beer on Jesus's birthday. lol Although this is probably a good rule - at least have one sober day with the kee-yuds, Dad.

Florida: Can't produce anything higher than 153 proof. IOW it's illegal to set yourself on fire

Actually, no alcohol sales after 1am or so here in MO. Sorry to bust the bubble. Still, we do have lax open container laws.

Are you talking at a bar or at a store?

No. Its the 3.2% alcohol by volume. Unless its a liquor store or a bar, you can only sell 3.2% beer. Meaning that's all gas stations grocery stores etc have. "Normal" beer is 6.4%. Simply put, most of our beer is half as powerful of yours. Worst off, smaller breweries (like fat tire) don't sell here because they don't want to pay extra to produce a weaker beer. Its such a weird rule that most people outside this state doesn't even know this measurement exists.

Oh. And. Liquor stores are not allowed to refrigerate anything. Finding the fastest way to cool beer is a rite of passage here.

I mean most crappy domestic beers are only around 4.2%, there was always this myth in Oklahoma that "6 point" beer was the norm elsewhere.

Don't ruin the mystique of Texas beer.
